RECOMMENDED INITIAL START DOSE: One 15mg gel cap per day, unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor.
HOW TO ADMINISTER: Take orally by swallowing capsules.
- Start low and go slow to find optimal dose as per recommended by your doctor.
- Recommended initial start dose is 10mg tincture or 1x 15mg gel cap. Titrate up every 3 days until optimal therapeutic benefit is achieved.
- If adverse effects such as dizziness, fatigue or somnolence occur, consider reducing dose or maintaining dose to monitor symptoms with your medical practitioner.
SIDE EFFECTS: Side effects are rare (<10%) but may include somnolence, diarrhoea, heartburn, sleep disturbances, dizziness, rash, dry mouth, and change in appetite.
WARNINGS: Possession without authority is illegal. Keep out of reach of children. These medications are not TGA registered medicines and Ananda Hemp is only available by authorised prescribers (AP) and Special Access Scheme pathway (SAS-B).

BACKGROUND EDUCATION
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a network of receptors present throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems as well as on many organs and organ systems. Two main receptor types, CB1 and CB2, comprise the ECS. CB1 receptors are abundant in nervous tissue and are the most abundant in the brain. CB2 receptors are present in the brain, but are more localised throughout the periphery and particularly on immune and lymphatic cells. Through CB1 and CB2 receptors, the ECS infiuences balance or homeostatic function via multiple mechanisms of action, impacting immune responses, infiammation, appetite, metabolism, pain perception, muscle relaxation, mood, motor control & coordination and more.
Full Spectrum hemp is a cannabidiol (CBD) rich extract derived from the fiower of the cannabis sativa hemp plant. Full Spectrum means that in addition to CBD. the extract contains other phytocompounds naturally found in the hemp plant. One compound that is always included in Full Spectrum Hemp is THC. or tetrahydrocannabinol. THC is intoxicating in high doses. but it is found in very low concentrations of 0.3% or less in hemp extracts.

WHY WOULD BROAD SPECTRUM EXTRACT BE USED?
Ananda Hemp Broad Spectrum Extract may have been prescribed to treat symptoms associated with many health conditions. including pain (neuropathic pain. osteoarthritis pain. mixed pain. etc.). insomnia. anxiety, MS or Parkinson's Disease related pain. spasticity or rigidity. seizure disorders. autoimmune disorders such as IBD. rheumatioid arthritis, or psoriasis, muscle aches, and more.
Broad Spectrum hemp extract consists of multiple phytocompounds. predominantly CBD, but without any detectable THC. The absence of THC is complimented by the presence of other cannabinoids, terpenes and botanicals to contribute to the synergy known as the ·entourage effect'. The ·entourage effect' refers to the improved therapeutic responses elicited when CBD is combined with other compounds versus on its own.
Broad Spectrum hemp extract is preferred over Full Spectrum extract for those who desire the synergistic effects of multiple cannabinoids that is absent from isolate CBD, but who cannot tolerate even trace amounts of THC and/or to eliminate risk of a positive drug screen, which may be used to detect THC metabolites.
